Many kids wonder, so what is biology? Biology is the study of life, and the changes that take place with and around all living things. We don’t just mean Earth. The study of biology covers every planet and object in the universe.

In the same way everything on Earth is made up of atoms, everything that is alive on Earth is made up of cells. An entire living thing can be one cell or it can be billions. Most cells on Earth have similar pieces and parts.

At Rutherford, children receive a deep core of knowledge. They carry out experiments, do real life simulations on-line, research various topic, participate in science fairs, and much more!

Chemistry is the study of matter and the changes that take place with that matter. Everything on Earth, everything in our solar system, everything in our galaxy, and everything in the universe is made up of matter. Matter is the name that scientists have given to everything that you can touch, or see, or feel, or smell.

At Rutherford, kids have the opportunity to experience chemistry on a different level. They build various projects, which allow them to gain hands on practice. Some of them include: Designing a Volcano, growing crystals, making soap, making batteries out of fruit, and many more.
