In the International Baccalaureate® (IB) Middle Years Programme (MYP), mathematics promotes both inquiry and application, helping students to develop problem solving techniques that transcend the discipline and that are useful in the world beyond school. IB students develop strong academic, social and emotional characteristics. They are also likely to perform well academically.
The Singapore mathematics curriculum comprises a set of syllabi spanning 12 years, from primary to pre-university education. The curriculum is designed in a spiral manner where concepts and skills in each content strand (e.g., Numbers and Algebra, Geometry and Measurement) are revisited and built upon at each level to achieve greater depth and understanding.

Mental math is a group of skills that allow people to do math “in their head” without using a pencil and a paper or a calculator.
Mental math is useful in school and in everyday life.
Mental math can help kids understand math concepts better and get to the answer faster.
Problem-solving plays an important role in mathematics and should have a prominent role in mathematics education. The focus is on teaching mathematical topics through problem-solving contexts and enquiry-oriented environments which are characterised by the teacher "helping students construct a deep understanding of mathematical ideas and processes by engaging them in doing mathematics: creating, conjecturing, exploring, testing, and verifying".

What Our Students Are Saying
Since I was a child, I’d love to spend time not only play chess but also calculating any possible moves. I was always good at Math. In grade 9, I ask my parents for more challenging Math classes, I was already better than many of my classmates, Mr. Igor’s classes were, and still are, the most challenging Math classes one can ask for in grade 9, not to mention that he is a perfect chess player:)
Anna | Grade 7
Studying Math, all alone by myself, was the toughest task to do. I knew I am not lazy or bad in Math, but I could not simply understand anything. In the beginning, I thought Mr. Igor is just like all other Math teachers but he is teaching Math in ways that even someone like me with not so many good grades can figure out what is happening. It just boosts my self-confidence and self-esteem a lot.
Marc | Grade 10
Our classes are held in small groups with individual attention which can reduce the cost of training in half.
